The DEA license is required for practitioners to prescribe controlled substances, including narcotics and benzodiazepines.  Once you have your license, you are required to enroll in and use EPCS (electronic prescribing of controlled substances) at Olive View as well as register and use CURES.

Checklist:

• Apply for DEA (instructions below)
• Update the Program Coordinator when you receive your DEA
• Enroll in EPCS
• Register for CURES
